PRUNE LAVENDER BUSHES
Lavender is a. beautiful gardbn plant, yet it is often greatly neglected. The bushes are allowed to grow as they will, perhaps bending over toward the ground and lying thereon, making a shelter for destructive pests during the winter. The under branches of such bushes usually get into a. deplorable state With little or no foliage and eventually these portions die, or cease to produce useful shoots. It is far better to keep them well pruned. The more they are cut the more likely they are to produce new shoots. The use of a pair of scissors will keep this shrub in good form; if the 'shoots are out well back each year when flowerng is over, the tree looks neat for the winter and will bloom well. This process, so simple and easy, is well worth adopting.
