AID FOR THE DEAF
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT IN NEW THEATRE Warners, who are always anxious to try out new* ideas, are preparing to build a theatre in New York to h« used exclusively for talking pictures, and many innovations are planned. For the benefit of hard-of-hearing persons, two rows of seats will be set aside, and each seat equipped with earphones connected with the loudspeaker in order that persons afflicted may hear the dialogue, other theatres will undoubtedly follow Should tne idea prove successful, the example, since there are several hundred thousand slightly deaf persons in New York City, and they have asked repeatedly that something be done Jo permit them to continue to enj*>y motion pictures.
