DAIRY AND MEAT BOARDS DECISION AT CONFERENCE Press Association WELLINGTON. Thursday. By 33 votes to 31, the New Zealand Farmers’ Union today approved a proposal for the amalgamation of the Dairy Produce Board and the Meat Producers’ Board. The president. Mr. W. ,T. Poison, said he would like to see a scheme drafted and sent out to the branches. It was too important a subject to be decided by a snap vote. On the president’s motion, the subject was referred to the executive for consideration. By an overwhelming majority, the conference decided in favour of retaining compulsory clauses in the marketing boards’ legislation.
