“HIS CAPTIVE WOMAN” AT ROYAL

The film at the Itoyal Theatre, Kingsland. this evening, although entitled “His Captive "Woman,” is based on the exciting Donn Byrne novel, “Changling.” The leading roles are played by Dorothy Mackaill and Milton Sills. “His Captive Woman” is the tale of a New York society girl who murders her lover and escapes to the South Seas. A New York policeman is sent to bring her back, but the boat they are on is wrecked on a desert island, and these two alone are saved. “The Girl on the Barge,” which will also be shown, stars Jean Herstiolt and Sally O’Neill in a tale of life on a canal barge.

Motion picture actors and directors are flying high these days. Irving Cummings, Fox Movietone director, has just secured a cabin airplane which will be used in some dramatic scenes of the new thriller, “Behind That Curtain.” Camels. 53 horses, tents, supplies and an airplane and 80 people make a formidable array on location in the midst of the desert.
