DROWNED IN HARBOUR

LAUNCH CAPTAIN’S DEATH BODY IN FREEMAN’S BAY Shortly before eight o'clock this | morning the body of Captain F. M. Glass, master and part-owner of the launch, Alwin G, was found floating in the harbour near the Western Wharf. THE Alwin G cams into harbour on Monday with shingle from Whangapaoa and berthed in Freeman’s Bay. So far as is known the shingle | had not yet been sold. Mr. W. Alcock j is the other part-owner of the launch. The discovery of the body -was re- ; ported to the Freeman’s Bay police and an inspection was made before it 1 was taken to the mortuary. No signs of foul play were observed. The last time Captain Glass was seen was late yesterday afternoon.
