CANARY SHOW

“GOOD ALL ROUND”

PEKIN NIGHTINGALES The 1,9t1i annual championship show of the Auckland Canary and Cage Bird j Club was opened in the Epiphany Hall, : Karangaliape Road, this morning-. Both for the quality of birds shown \ and the staging: of the classes the show j is a big- improvement on the past j efforts. Mr. J. M. Thomson, who judged the : Norwich section, said there were many fine birds in his section, but also many poor ones. Mr. W. Hanson, who judged the finches, considered that the showing was good all round, with the goldfinches outstanding. Mr. G. K. Hutchinson’s budgeriegars, Mr. Hanson considered, were very tine.
