KNOX HOME BEQUEST
OVER £20,000 LEFT BY MISS HARKER RESIDUE OF ESTATE The Knox Home for Incurables at Mount Well'ington is to benefit to the extent of between £20,000 and £25,000 under the will of the late Miss Anne Ellen Harker, who died on July 10. Miss Harker made a number of bequests to relatives totalling- £26,300, and bequeathed the remainder of her estate to the Knox Home. The estate has been sworn at under £60,000 for probate purposes. The Knox Home is a large brick single-storey building capable of accommodating about 70 patients. The institution was officially opened on August 29. 1914, being established from a large bequest of £3J,750 made by the late Mrs. Eliza' ;th Knox, of ] Tamaki, who died in 1911. From time to time the home has ' benefited by other generous donations and bequests from the Auckland Savings Bank, Mr. F. E. Lipscombe, Mr. D. McDonald, Mr. T. Peacock, Sir H. Brett, Mr. A.
