O’BRIAN “REVELLERS” Tomorrow evening’ Frank O'Brian and his talented company of Revellers will present another change of , programme at St. James Theatre. This ; will mark the sixth week the company j has been appearing in Auckland. This evening, the last night of the j fifth programme, the company will ap- j pear in a number of sketches, songs, ! and dances, together with solo per- j formances. Frank O’Brian and Janice j Hart will lead the way with songs and ! dances, and othe.r members of the » combination, Marie Ward, Mable Morgan, and Gordon Neville will also ap- i pear in various roles. The clever bal- j let of eight girls will present a num- * ber of new and novel dances. Mention must be made of ‘‘Tiny” J Douglas and his talented jazz band, ? which features the latest hits, and j i which in itself is well worth hearing 1 ! and seeing. ! Crane Wilbur, pioneer star of the j screen, who deserted it to become a famous stage star and pjaywright, has returned, as the latest stage celebrity to enter talking pictures. Wilbur has signed a contract with Metro -Gold wynMayer, following his success in London with his own play. “Jealousy,” in which he also directed. He is to direct, write for and perhaps act in talking films. Charles King and Bessie Love, who scored so successfully in “The Broadway Melody,” are to be again featured in- Road Show.” by Metro- ! Goldwyn-Mayer. A number of original i song numbers are being written for the ! production, which is to be screened | with 100 per cent, dialogue.
