DESERVING CAUSE

r pHE concert at present being arranged by the Professional Musicians' union in order to promote funds for the relief of unemployed musicians should result in something out of the usual run of such entertainments. Mr. J. Whiteford Waugh will be the musical director, and it will be held on Sunday, August 4. Many very competent musicians In Auckland have been deprived of their occupation as a result of the advent of the talkies, and all who patronise this entertainment will be providing material assistance to men and women who, on many occasions have given their services freely to assist deserving causes. Further details in regard to the programme will be announced at a later date.
