“SMITHY” SEES EUROPE FROM THE AIR PLANE BEING OVERHAULED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.20 a.m. AMSTERDAM, Tues. Squadron-leader C. E. Kingsford Smith ancl Flight-Lieutenant C. T. P. Ulm left for Berlin, via Rotterdam, aboard a Dutch airplane, pending overhaul of the Southern Cross at the Fokker works. The airmen, after spending a day in Berlin, left for Paris in a passenger plane.
