PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD
The Papakura Town Board met last evening. Mr. James MZcCall presiding. Many complaints were received from residents regarding stray cattle de—stroying footpaths and eating trees in Smith’s Avenue. The board instructed the foreman to proceed against owners of cattle straying on roads. Applications are to be invited for the position of ranger. Residents and owners of property at Takanini near the board’s northern boundary on Valley Road petitioned the board to connect the water supply to their properties and asked the probable cost. The cost was stated to be at least £l6O. It was decided to ask the petitioners to meet the chairman and the VVorks Committee to discuss the question. '
