BUSINESS DURING JUNE The amount paid out in Settlement of new loans by the Public Trust Office last month was £146,583. Further new loans were granted to the amount of {3632825. and the total of new loans now awaiting completion is £459,735, while offers of loans less than the full amounts applied for amount to £111,090, 3. total of £570,825. Renewals of 38 loans amounting to £175,994 were also authorised. Applications for additional new loans amounting to £288,899 are now under consideration. Estates of a value of £822,450 were reported and accepted for administration during the month. Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 111 for the month. In addition 540 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were deposited for safe custody by living testators. and the total number now held is 64,177, representing an estimated present value of £256,000,000.
