The Franklin golf championships, in which play over 18 holes was completed on Saturday, July 13, when rain necessitated postponement of further play, are to be resumed on August 3, when the remaining 18 holes are to be completed. The bogey match, which the play over the first 18 holes also comprised, resulted in a tie between four players, Forbes (Waiuku), Christianson (Waiuku), Colbeck (Waiuku) and Rice (Everslie), who will play off during the morning on August 3. The committee controlling the play has decided to hold another bogey match for other players also on August 3. Entries for this event close on Tuesday, July 30. CAMBRIDGE CLUB CAMBRIDGE, Monday. Last week’s bogey handicap resulted in a win for R. Thomas, with a score of 4 up. The other six best cards were: Poutawera, 3 up; N.
