FATALLY HURT BY CAR

ELDERLY MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL ACCIDENT AT INTERSECTION Knocked down by a motor-car in New North Road on Saturday evening, Mr. Harry Haskett, aged 73, received such injuries that he died in the Auckland Hospital early yesterday morning. rpHE accident occurred at obout 9.30 p.m., when Mr. Haskett was crossing an intersection. The car, which was driven by Mr. Frederick Ernest. Vogwill, a dairyman, of Mount Roskill, knocked him down so that his 1 head was badly injured and his body cut and bruised. Mr. Haskett, who was a married man, lived at 46 Pollen Street, Grey Lynn.
