CAR DRIVER ARRESTED
COLLISION. WITH CYCLIST BOTH GO TO HOSPITAL Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. A collision between a motor-car and a cycle on the Hutt Road last night resulted in C. E. Warr, aged 17, rider ot the cycle, receiving a double fracture of the left leg, and wounds on one foot. The car driver, who was injured to some extent, was arrested after he came out of hospital on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Nathaniel John Reid was charged this morning that, while in a state of iutoxication, he negligently drove a car on the Hutt Road, causing bodily injury to Warr. Defendant was remanded for a week, counsel for defendant absolutely denying intoxication. Warr’s condition is stated to be improving, but is still uncertain.
