LNION OFFICERS ELECTED The annual meeting of the Walhi Mines and Battery Employees' Union was held at Waihi on Thursday nlght, Mr. E. Dye presiding. The report. and balance sheet were read and adopted and expressions of sympathy were accorded to the relautiVes of the late Mr. J. E. Slevin and Mr. Nichoiaq Thomas. The following officers were elected:-—« President. Mr. E. Dye; vice-president. Mr. L. Carpenter; secretary and work. men's inspector. Mr. W. Bice; treaac urer. Mr. E. Lyndon: trustees. Messrs. .P. Murphy and H. Pipe; committee. ‘Messrs. C. J. Cooper J. R. Slevin. T. Barker, D. Fahpy, J. Pearce. ’l‘. McNamara. l". McConnell. W'. Weeks. W. King. and three ropresentatives to b. .clectcd at \Vaikino.
