CARNIVAL DANCE
LANTERNS AND STREAMERS The members of St. Vincent de Paul stall held a carnival dance on Wednesday evening- in St. Benedict’s Hall. The hall was decorated with Chinese lanterns, coloured lights and gay streamers. Numerous novelties were a feature of the enjoyable evening. Among those present were: Mrs. Hardgrave, wearing a frock of black silk and net, with sequin trimming. Mrs. A. Wragg, in bois de rose satin and velvet. Miss Iris McKay, who wore pink georgette and pearls. Miss Jean Fitzwilliam, in cameo pink satin. Miss Porter, in green crepe de chine and gold lace. Miss Rankin, wearing pink taffeta. Miss Stella Hardgrave, who chose pink taffeta with shoulder spray of wistaria. Miss Parker, in pink crepe de chine and diamente. Miss J. Healy, in pink crepe de chine and silver lace. Miss McLeod, who wore flame georgette and pearls. Miss B. Nelson, in blue satin and silver lace. Miss Lyons, wearing pink crepe de chine. Miss Parry, who chose leaf-green georgette. IN CHAMPAGNE CREPE Miss Mary Hamilton, in a champagne crepe de chine gown. Miss Jean Scandle, who wore navy crepe de chine. Miss Peggy Cunningham, wearing mauve crepe de chine and pearls. Miss Raw ley, in a black silk net and rainbow lame gown. M|ss Cross, wearing black georgette. Miss Allan, in blue taffeta and metal, uneven hem. Miss M. Healy, in ciel blue crepe de chine, with floral trimming. Miss N. Flanaghan, who wore powder blue georgette with diamente trimming. Miss Dorothy Owens, who wore embossed silk lace over pink satin. Miss L. Barker, in green georgette with satin trimming. _ Miss R. Wenyer, who wore pink crepe de chine with diamente trimming. ~ liss Flanaghan, wearing apple green taffeta with diamente trimming. Miss M. Kelly, who chose cyclamen satin. Miss G. Leslie, who wore royal panne velvet. Blue, wearing green crepe de chine and gold lace. FOR BAZAAR FUNDS COMMITTEE HOLDS DANCE A most successful and enjoyable time was spent in St. Oswald’s Hall,
On© Tree Hill, on Thursday evening, when Mesdames Smith, Jensen, Nicholls and Hankins held an old-time and jazz dance in aid of the fancy stall at the forthcoming bazaar. There was a large attendance. The hall was decorated with streamers and balloons in rainbow colours. Excellent music was supplied by Conor’s Orchestra. The duties of M.cr were efficiently carried out by Mr. A. S. Burgess.
