MR. R. CLOVER-CLARK’S APPOINTMENT WORK IN THE PROVINCE The new organiser for 19 electorates in the Auckland Province in the interests of the United Party will be Mr. R. GloverClark, of Auckland. He has been elected by delegates from the electorates. WIDELY-KNOWN in Auckland in organising work, and keenly interested in the United Party, Mr. Glover-Clark has been prominent in developing the party’s influence in the city. He has been a vice-president of the Auckland Commercial Travel—lers’ and Warehousemen’s Association for two years and has developed charitable work. As a. resident of St. Heliers, he has been engaged in public affairs in that portion of the city and he is also an active member of the New Zealand Land Settlement and Development League. Mr. Glover-Clark did excellent work as organiser for Mr. H. R. Jenkins, M.P. for Parnell, in the Parliamentary elections.

He received his education at Goudhurst College, Kent, England, and at Xavier’s Colleges, Brugés, Belgium. He was with the Imperial Field Artil—lery in the Great War and came to New Zealand after the Armistice. After farming for a year in the Pi'ako district, he was on the stafi of the Electoral Department. Since then, he has been in commercial work in the city.
