the cast is heard as much as ;t is seen. It: introduces several catchy songs which have already registered themselves as pronounced hits. It also presents a full musical revue. such as is seen on the stages of the‘ large Broadway 1 theatres. The story Ileals with the life of‘show 1’01}: both
behind the scenes and in front of the footlights. The hero is a. “hoofei'.” an actor who sings and dances in the musical shows. Featured with Mr. King in the leading roles are Bessie Love. singer and actress, and Anita Page. The story, an original for the screen. tells the inside story of the lives of Show people, the drama of their romances, tragedies. comedies and little humours. It makes an absorbing. gripping entertainment. The most brilliant sequence in the picture reproduces a Broadway musical icomedy revue. A chorus of 60 pro}fessional dancers appear in this scene.
