KAIKOHE BOWLING CLUB
(From Our Own Correspondent) KAIKOHE, Friday. Boisterous weather prevented a. large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Kaikohe Bowling Club. Mr. L. W. Morgan presided. The annual report referred to interchange of friendly visits With the neighbouring clubs, and to the club winning the White Cup. There was a small deficit on the year’s W'orking. It is proposed to make a. “drive" for new members. It was decided to hold an open pairs tournament on the opening day, Labour Day, and to start the club championship after the Christmas holidays. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mr. L. W. Morgan; vicepresidents, Messrs. J. Purdy, T. J. Jephcoate, W. J. Worthington and H. Rogers; secretary, Mr. A. P. Leigh; treasurer, Mr. K. W. Harold; auditor. I\lr. F. W. Bean: general committee. Messrs. E. H. Henderson, T. Morrison, W. J. Worthington, J. Routley, J. A. Ridgley, F. Yukich, with president and secretary ex otficio; match committee Messrs. W. J. Worthginton, L. W. Morgan and A. P. Leigh; ground committee, Messrs. T. LicCready. A. P. Leigh and W. J. Worthington: delegate to North Auckland Centre, Mr. W. C. Coote, VVhangarei. The retiring president made a donation of £5 55 to the club. A vote of thanks to all outgoing oflicers concluded the business.
