Apart from this, however, the club intends to work with keen interest to bring the project to a. successful issue, and with the cooperation of the public, owners and trainers, a. great function should be staged. The Auckland Trotting Club is acting right up to the spirit of the letter that “a friend in need is a. friend indeed,” and its interest in the earthquake sufferers, following on the lib—eral donation already forwarded, is worthy of whole—hearted public support.
