FLAG STATION TO CLOSE
REPLY TO TE RAPA SETTLERS (From Our Otcn Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. The Railway Department has decided to close the Te Rapa flag station. A deputation of Te Rapa, settlers met Mr. H. H. Sterling Frankton today and asked for a reversal of this decision. Mr. Sterling pointed out that, won* he would like to grant the request, the traffic figures were so small tna he would not be justified in keeping a porter there. A request for a cheap trucking-yard there would receive n® consideration.
