FAREWELL TO VICAR
BIRKENHEAD PRESENTATIONS The parishioners of All Saints Church, Birkenhead, gave a farewell social to the Rev. H. H. Bedford, vicar of the church, in the Parian Hall, Birkenhead, last evening. A. C. Bicknell presided. Musical items were given by Messrs. A. Borrows, W. Ungemuth and JWright, and Mrs. E. Wallis, Mrs. C. Davenport, Miss D. Mills and Mrs. A. J. Hurley. Mrs. Steele was the aecompaniste. Air. Bicknell referred to the good work done by Air. Bedford in the sever, years he had been in the district, and Mr. J. Hall, the people’s warden, presented Air. Bedford, on behalf of the parishioners, with a wallet containing a substantial cheque. In asking Bedford’s acceptance of the gift* Ay said it was a little token of appreciation. He wished him every success, and strength to carry on the good wor ■ Air.
