DREDGE IN DOCK.—The Auckland Harbour Board’s dredge Haupai is at present in Calliope Dock overhauling. CARGO FROM NEW YORK.—The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Victor will now leave New York on August 30, instead of August 20, for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. CARGO FROM LONDON.—The C. and D Line advises that the Malakand, in place of the Port Nicholson, will leave London on August 21 with general cargo to discharge at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Nelson. REMUERA LEAVES CURACAO—The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that its liner Remuera left Curacao on Monday for Southampton and London, eti route from Wellington. The vessel left Wellington on June 22. TOFU A AT SUVA.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the Island passenger steamer Tofua, which arrived at Suva at 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday from Auckland, sails again at 4 o’clock this afternoon for Tonga and Samoa. THE MAUI POM ARE.—The Government motor-ship Maui Pomare left Niue Island last Sunday for Dunedin, where she is due on Monday. The vessel will leave the same day for Lyttelton, 'Wellington and Auckland to complete disHAURAKI FROM PACIFIC COAST.— The local office of the Union Company advises that the motor-ship Hauraki, which sailed from Los Angeles at 4 a.m. last Monday for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, is expected to arrive here on August 6. CAMBRIDGE AT BOSTON. —The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that the Federal steamer Cambridge arrived at Boston on Saturday from Auckland, via New York, en route to Halifax and West Coast ports of Great Britain. The vessel sailed from Auckland on June 7. CANADIAN BRITISHER LEAVES NEW YORK.—Cabled news has been received by the Canadian National Steamships that the Canadian Britisher arrived at New York on July 13 from Auckland, and sailed again on July 14 for Boston and Montreal. The vessel left Auckland on June 5. WAIPAHI DELAYED. —Further radio ! advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Island fruit steamer Waipahi is meeting with bad weather and is now expected to arrive at Auckland at 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Cook Islands. The vessel, which is scheduled to leave here on July 29 on her return trip to Rarotonga, Aitut’aki, Atiu,* Mauke and Manga ia, sails on Tuesday for Portland to toad cement for Wellington,
MAH IA SAILS SUNDAY.—Efforts are being made by A. S. Paterson and Company to dispatch the Shaw, SaviT and Albion Company’s steamer from Auckland at daylight on Sunday for New York, Boston and London, via Panama. KENT SAILING.—At 3 o’clock this afternoon the Federal steamer Kent, which has been loading at Auckland under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, leaves heer for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Panama. KARTIGI FOR AUSTRALIA.—On the completion of her discharge at Auckland, the Union Company s collier Kartigi, whic his due here tomorrow from Westport, via Greymouth, proceeds to Castlecliff, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Hobart and Melbourne. ANGLO-INDIAN TOMORROW MORN - ING.—Messars R. Millar and Co. advise that the Nitrate Producers’ vessel AngloIndian, at present discharging sulphur from Galveston, Texas, at King’s Wharf, is to be dispatched at 11 a.m. tomorrow for Newcastle, Sydney and other Australian ports to complete unloading. ULIMAROA FOR WELLINGTON. — Leaving Sydney at noon today for Wellington, the Huddart, Parker’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa is clue there next Tuesday morning. The Ulimaroa is the only passenger vessel arriving at New Zealand ports next week from Sydney. CERASUS FOR SOUTH AMERICA.— A. S. Paterson and Company advise that the steamer Cerasus, now completing her discharge of phosphates at the Central Wharf, docks on Tuesday for cleaning and painting. Afterward the vessel proceeds to Westport for bunkers, then Valparaiso, where she loads for England and the Continent. RUAHINE FROM HOME. —According to a radio message received by the New Zealand Shipping Company, the liner Ruahine is expected to arrive at Wellington at daybreak next Wednesday from London and Southampton. The vessel, which was originally scheduled to arrive there today, has passengers, mails and cargo for Wellington, and cargo for Auckland. PORT DUNEDIN TO LOAD.—On completion of her discharge at Duendin. the C. and D. Line’s motor-ship Port Dunedin commences loading at Port Chalmers, and later fills up at Bluff, thence Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The vessel is scheduled to clear Wellington finally on August 2 for London, via Panama. NEW TRANS-PACIFIC VESSELS.— Six ships are to be added to the transpacific service of the Yamashita Shipping Company. Two of these will be motor-ships of 9,100 tons the Kahwa Maru, to be completed in July at Uraga, and an unnamed sister ship to be ready for service early next year. The others are general cargo carriers, the Egypt Maru and Texas Maru, 10,000 tons each, and the Yeifuku Maru and Jufuku Maru, each of 9,100 tons deadweight. KIA ORA TO LOAD.—The Shaw. Savili and Albion Company’s steamer Kia Ora arrived at New Plymouth yesterday from Lyttelton, to complete discharge of her London cargo, and to commence loading. The vessel will leave New Plymouth •on Tuesday for the Wanganui roadstead, Oamaru, Timaru, Port Chalmers and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on August 3 and will sail finally from that port on August 7 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Montevideo and Teneriffe.
