GRANT TO COLLEGE

NEW APPARATUS NEEDED An offer from the Director of Education in connection with the provision of apparatus for horticultural and agricultural classes at the Seddon Memorial Technical College was consented to by the college board of managers yesterday afternoon. The director made a grant of £IOO for the purpose in respect to an application of £l5O. It was proposed that the board should pay the balance of £SO. An assistant is to be advertised for in Auckland, the board decided after long discussion, to fill temporarily the position of full-time instructor in the engineering and motor engineering classes to replace the temporary appointment made.
