THE WHISKY JOKE”
In the report of the case in which a man was charged at Onehunga on Monday with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car, it was stated in error that he had been the victim of a joke played upon him at the Exchange Hotel, Onehunga. This was an error. The joke was perpetrated at an hotel in an outer suburb, and the man was arrested in the yard of the Exchange Hotel.
