WAIMATE OFF
THE annual race meeting of the ! Waimate Hunt Club was to have been held at Bluecliffs tomorrow, but Southern advices announce that the fixture has been postponed indefinitely. Apparently there has been so much rain in the far South that the racecourse has been literally swamped. The Waimate Hunt Club will now have to race in the new season, for all the available dates to July 31 (the end of the racing year) have been taken up.
