STOLEN CARS

“JOYRIDERS” ACTIVE Two cars were stolen from city streets yesterday and another was stripped of its magneto and spark-plug cables. One car, the property of Mr. A. E. Sloman, of Mac Murray Road, Remuera, was stolen from outside a shop in Karangahape Road. It was a fiveseater Buick, bearing the registered number 10-727. The car had not been recovered at noon today. A Baby Austin car, the property of Mr. E. R. Stanborough, of 14 School Road, Morningside, was taken from Queen Street, but was recovered later uear the Grafton Bridge. A car which had been parked in St. Paul's Street for the night was stripped of its magneto and the cables leading to the sparking plugs.
