U.S. FARM RELIEF
LOANS NOT YET AVAILABLE FROM FUND (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reccf. 9 a.m. WASHINGTON, Thurs. The Farm Board announces that loans from the sum of £30,00,000 — the relief fund—held for its use will not be made to agricultural interests until the board has formulated a definite credit policy, nor will loans be made until the interests needing credit exhaust their borrowing facilities at private banks and the Federal Intermediate Credit Banks. An additional member of the board is to be appointed shortly by President Hoover. He is expected to be an expert able to deal entirely with the problem of surplus wheat.
