DEATH OF COMMISSIONER BOOTH TUCKER (Australian and X.Z . rrcss Association) (United Service) Reed. 11 a.m. LONDON, Wed. The death has occurred of Commissioner Frederick St. G. de L. Booth Tucker, of the Salvation Army, aged 76. Frederick St. George de Lautour Booth Tucker was born at Bengal, and married the second daughter of William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army. He resigned from the Punjab Civil Service to join the Salvation Army in 1881, and inaugurated the Army's work in India in ISS2, being in charge there until 1901. Later he was foreign secretary of the Salvation Army, and then took charge of the work in the United States. Returning to India, he did fine work, and was awarded the Kaiser-i-Hind gold medal in 1913.
