“LIQUID” ASSETS GONE

FOURTEEN MILLION GALLONS OF WATER LOST ONE TREE HILL DISCOVERY What has become of 14,415,790 gallons of water lost by the One Tree Hill Road Board as shown in a report submitted to a meeting of the board last evening by the clerk, Mr. A. Leese? The report stated that for the six months ending May 31, a total of 49,536,790 gallons of water were pumped, and 35,121,000 gallons sold, leaving 14,415,790 gallons unaccounted for. Later in the report an explanation for this loss was given, the clerk stating that all was not due to leakage and defective meters as a considerable quantity had been used for fire-fighting, bushing mains, flushing sewers, and road work.
