ANOTHER ADVANTAGE
SHOULD the experiment of the Auckland Trotting Club in putting down a portion of the clay track in cinders prove successful, and judiciously handled by the club’s experts as it will be, there is no reason to fear otherwise, the whole of the training circuit will probably later be converted to this state. Once a good reliable cinder track is in operation, the club would be able, when the grass course was practically unfit for racing, to get over a difficulty by transferring the contests to the new track.
