BURGLARS ROB BAKER

£ll IN CASH TAKEN INTRUDERS IN A HURRY (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. Burglars entered the office of F. Findlay Baker, Collingwood Street, last evening and stole £ll in cash, contained in a locked box fastened inside of a door. Apparently the intruders had little time to spare, as several bags containing as much money were left untouched. Mr. Findlay usually visits the office about 9 o’clock each evening to take home cash collections of the day. Last night on his arrival he found nothing unusual, but discovered the money missing after opening the locked box. Six burglaries have occurred in Hamilton and Frankton within the last three or four weeks. In some cases the depredations appear to be the work of one person.
