W.E.A. BRANCH AT POST OFFICE

A branch of the W.E.A. was inaugurated at the Auckland Chief Post Office last evening, when a class of 30 students was formed for the study of economies. It was decided to meet on every Monday evening at 6.15 p.m. The class was opened by Mr. X. M. Richmond, who outlined the objects of the W.E.A. and then addressed the class on an “Outline of Economic Study.” Messrs. W. P; Hay and G. E. Smith were elected librarian and secretary respectively. The Acting-Secretary of the P. and T. Department has kindly placed a lecturing-room at the disposal of the class free of charge.
