BEACON WRECKED.—The iron pils beacon, which marks a rock existing about three-quarters of a mile north from the Rangitoto beacon, disappeared during the last week-end. Until the beacon can he replaced, a buoy will be anchored over the rock. ULIMAROA DELAYED.—According to advice received by the local office of Huddart, Parker, Ltd., the intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa is meeting with rough weather and is not expected to reach Sydney until this afternoon from Auckland. Usually the vessel arrives early Tuesday morning. She leaves Sydney noon on Friday for Wellington. ANGLO-INDIAN REPORTS. —Further wireless advice received by Messrs. R. Millar and Company from the steamer Anglo-Indian states that she will arrive from Galveston, Texas, about 5.30 this evening. The vessel has a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at Auckland, Newcastle. Sydney, Port Kembla, Geelong and Port Pirie. She will berth at King’s Wharf. MARAMA ARRIVES.—At 6.45 o’clock this morning the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama arrived in the stream from Sydney, and later berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left the New South Wales port last Friday' afternoon and experienced good weather for the run across the Tasman Sea. Orungal, Orsova, Kowarra, Katoomba, Burwah, Sirsa. The Marama is scheduled to leave i Auckland p. t three o’clock on Friday afternoon on her return trip to Sydney.

PORT DARWIN AT LONDON.—The C. and D. Line have been notified by cablegram that the Port Darwin arrived at London on Thursday from Auckland, via New York, Boston, and Halifax. The vessel left Auckland on May 15. TARANAKI LEAVES COLON.—Cabled news has been- received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company tha,,t the Taranaki left Colon on Thursday afternoon for London, en route from Auckland. She sailed from Auckland on June 23. MAHENO -AT WELLINGTON.—Advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the intercolonial passenger steamer Maheno arrived at Wellington at 6 o'clock this morning from Sydney, and is to leave at 11 a.m. on Friday on her return trip to the New South Wales port. TAHITI FROM SYDNEY.—The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the R.M.S. Tahiti, from Sydney, arrived at Wellington at 6.5 a.m. today, and efforts are being made to dispatch the vessel at 6 p.m. today for Rarotonga, Papeete and San Francisco. KENT SAILS THURSDAY.—Efforts are being made by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company to dispatch the Federal steamer Kent from Auckland on Thursday afternoon for Lon don and West Coast ports of England, via. Panama. The vessel is at present filling up at the Queen’s Wharf. WAIPAHI FROM COOK ISLANDS.— According to advice received by the local office of the Union Company, the Island fruit steamer Waipahi left Rarotonga noon last Friday for Auckland, where she is due next Saturday. She is scheduled to leave Auckland on July 29 on her return trip to Rarotonga, Aitutakl, Atiu, Mauke and Mangaia. CERASUS ARRIVES.—ShortIy after noon today the steamer Cerasus arrived at Auckland from Juan de Nova, via Dunedin and Lyttelton, and berthed at the Central Wharf to complete her discharge of phosphates under the auspices of A. S. Paterson and Company. Later the vessel will dock at Auckland to have her hull cleaned and painted. NORTHUMBERLAND REPORTS. Radio advice received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Federal steamer Northumberland is expected to arrive at Auckland at midnight tomorrow from Liverpool. The vessel is bringing cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and New Plymouth. HURUNUI'S PROGRAMME. Nowloading at New Plymouth, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ilururiui later fills up at Lyttelton, thence Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. She is due here on August 1 and is scheduled to sail finally from this port on August 6 for New York, Boston and London, via Panama. MAHIA DUE TONlGHT—Leaving Gisborne at 2.15 o’clock this morning for Auckland, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s steamer Mahia is due here late this evening. Tomorrow morning the vessel berths at the Queen’s Wharf to complete hez* loading under the agency of A. S. Paterson and Company, "it is hoped to dispatch the vessel finally from this port late on Friday evening or early on Saturday morning for New York, Boston and London, via Panama. CANADIAN CONQUEROR TOMORROW.—The local office of the Canadian National Steamships advises that the Canadian Conqueror is to be dispatched at noon tomorrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin to complete discharging. She is at present at Prince’s Wharf. After she has finished unloading, the Canadian Conqueror will start loading for New York, Boston and Montreal, and is scheduled to sail finally for those ports from Auckland at the end of July. DUNROBIN FROM CUBA. The steamer Dunrobin has been chartered to load sugar at Cuba for Auckland. She is a steel screw vessel of 5,041 tons and is owned by the Scottish Navigation Company of Glasgow. IMPROVEMENTS TO RANGITI Kl.— —A certain amount of experience has been gained on the fir£t round voyage of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s Rangitiki, and after her discharge *it home ports the company has decided thr.t she shall go back to the builders, Messrs. John Brown and Company, Glasgow. Certain improvements will be effected, and the same improvements will be carried out in the other two vessels, the Rangitata and Rangitane, which are still in the hands of the builders. NEWTON PINE IN PORT.—T he steamer Newton Pine arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Casablanca, Morocco, and berthed at the King’s Wharf to land phosphates under the agency of Henderson and Macfarlane. Later the vessel proceeds to New J’lymouth and Wanganui to complete discharge. The voyage occupied 54 days, and fine weather was experienced to Panama, after which moderate to rough was encountered. Captain M. M. Peterson is in command, and with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. J. S. Thompson; second, ALr. J. Hardy; third, Mr. J. B. Crawley; chief engineer. Mr. R. H. Wylie; second. Mr. A. Wright; third, Mr. W. It. Rickley; fourth, Mr. C. Matthews; wireless tor, Mr. R. H. Bacon; chief steward, J. Roberts. PORT OF ONEHUNGA—DEPARTURES TODAY REGULUS (L 1.30 a.m.), 584 tons, Maylen, for Picton and Nelson. Hokianga is bar-bound at Hokianga. Arapawa is now due from Hokianga tomorrow morning. She is scheduled to sail for Opunake and Wanganui at 3 o’clock that afternoon. Regulus cleared port this morning for Picton, Nelson and West Coast ports of the South Island. Hauturu is sailing this afternoon for Raglan, Kawhia and Waikato Heads. She was unable to leave yesterday on account of weather conditions. Ngapuhi. which had to abandon her trip to New Plymouth yesterday afternoon on account of the weather, was to be dispatched for that port at 2 o’clock this afternoon.
