MANY RAIDS ON SHOPS AND DWELLINGS MOTOR-CARS STOLEN Reed. 9 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Sydney’s crime wave has continued. During the past week there were 54 cases of robberies from shops and dwellings. The list is increased by 30 small miscellaneous thefts. Twenty-three motor-cars are reported to have been stolen. The police last night arrested five men who are believed to have been responsible for the car thefts. Fifteen motor-cj’cles and cars were recovered, some from dams and riverbeds, where they were thrown when the gang became frightened.
