BOARD’S WEEKLY REVIEW The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office, dated July 12, prices for the previous week being in parentheses:— Butter New Zealand: Salted, 169 s to 172 s (170 s to 1735); unsalted, 168 s to. 172 s (170 sto 1725); first whey, 157 s (1565): second whey, 152 s (1525); 169 s to 172 s eqLials approximatley Is f.o.b. Deliveries New Zealand this week, 750 tons; in store, 8,450 tons. Australian: Finest salted, 162 s (164 s to 16Ss); unsalted, 162 s to 166 s (164 s to 170 s). Argentine: Finest unsalted, 160 s to 164 s (160 s to 1645). Irish creamery: Salted, 165 s to 167 s (16Ss to 1695); unsalted, 169 sto 170 s (172 s to 1735). Danish: F. 0.8., 166 s (1695); spot, 173 s to 174 s (176 s to 1775). Dutch: Unsalted, 164 s to 170 s (1665). Estonian: 160 s to 162 s (162 s to 1645). Latvian: 160 s to 162 s (162 s to 1645). Siberian: 155 s to 156 s (15.7 s to 158 s). Ukranian: 156 s to 15Ss (156 s to 160 s). Polish: 150 s to 154 s (140 s to 1545). French baskets: Salted, 154 sto 164 s (158 s to 1645). Alarket slow. Retail prices unchanged. Cheese New Zealand: White, S9s to 90s (90s to 925); coloured, 91s to 92s (92s to 945); exceptionally, 935; 89s to 90s equals approximately B*d f.o.b. Deliveries New Zealand this week, 26,325 crates; in store, 111,393 crates. Canadian: White, 102 s to 112 s (102 s to 112 s); coloured, 102 sto IOSs (102 sto 108 s) . New season’s: White, 89s to 90s (90s to 925); coloured, 91s (SSs c.i.f.). Australian: White, BSs; coloured, S9s to 90s. English Finest farmers’, new season, 94s (945). Alarket steady. Retail prices unchanged. Shipping Movements The Port Campbell commenced discharge of cheese on July 6 and finished on July 8. The Rotorua commenced discharge of butter on July 11. MERCHANTS' REPORTS Alerchants report receipt of overseas cables as follow: Leonard and Son, from their London principal, A. C. Rawson, under date July 12:—“Butter, 1705.. Cheese, white, 89s to 90s: coloured, 925.” A. IT. Turnbull and Company, from their London principals. W. AVeddel and Company, under date July 12:—“Butter, Danish, 3 73s to 1745; New Zealand unsalted, 16Ss to 1725; salted, 169 s to 1725: market slow. Cheese: New Zealand white, S9s to 90s; coloured, 91s to 925; market steady.” Newton King, Ltd., from their principals, R. and W. Davidson, Ltd.:— ‘Butter, salted, 169 s to 1725; unsalted, 16Ss to 1725; wheys, firsts, 158 s, 1565; seconds, 3 525, 3 50s; cheese, coloured, 93s To 925; white, S9s to 90s; market slow.” Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., from their London office, dated July 13:—“Butter, Our prices unchanged: Anchor, 1725; market firming in anticipation of improved demand. Danish, 174 s on the spot; 16Ss f.0.b.; retails unchanged. Cheese: White, 90s; coloured, 925: market steady; rather firmer. Retail unchanged.”
DAIRYING INDUSTRY
NORTHERN WAIROA COMPANY (From Our Own Correspondent) DARGAVILLE, Today. A total output for the season of 2,210 tons of butter is shown in the annual report of the Northern Wairoa Dairy Company. During the season the company advanced £309,497 to suppliers. The payments already made and the final payment recommended make the average payments for the season 18.4 d a lb. of butter-fat, exclusive of cream cartage.
