In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Rating- Act, 1925, the Town Boards Act, 1908, the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, or by any other Act or Amendment thereof, it thereto enabling, the Howick Town Board hereby gives notice of its intention at an ordinary meeting, to be held in the Howick Town Board Room on THURSDAY, the 18th day of July, 1929, at 7.30 p.m., to make and levy the following rates:— Over the whole of the Howick Town District: A General Rate of One and ahalf Pence in the Pound. A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of One Farthing in the Pound. A Special Lighting Rate of One-eighth of a Penny in the Pound. The foregoing Rates to be levied on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Howick Town District for the period commencing the Ist day of April, 1929, and ending 31st day of March, 1930, and to be payable to the Treasurer at the Office of the Board, Picton Street, Howick, in one sum on the Ist day of AUGUST, 1929.
