CRASH INTO CAR

BOY CYCLISTS INJURED MACHINE BADLY DAMAGED (From Our Own Correspondent) NGATEA, Today. Two young English farm hands, employees of Mr. C. W. Schultz, of Ngatea, are now in the Thames Hospital, as the result of a cillision between the motor-cycle they were riding and a stationary motor-car. The accident happened in front of the Ngatea Hall about 7.30 p.m. on Friday as picture patrons were assembling. The front wheel of the cycle struck the only lighted headlight of the car and was buckled until it resembled the letter “C.” The rider of the cycle, Mr. L. Tucker, had his wrist broken and received severe abrasions to his face and head, and the pillion rider, R. Manning, was thrown forward against the saddle with such force that it ■was crumpled to a handful of twisted steel and leather. His injuries were internal ones. Both lads were taken to Mr. Hallett’s chemist shop for first-aid treatment pending the arrival of Dr. Miller, who ordered their removal to hospital.
