HAMILTON’S NEW PLANE
PASSENGER FLIGHTS POPULAR (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Saturday. Undismayed by the severe damage done to their only plane in a recent New Plymouth gale, Hamilton Airways, Ltd., has imported another de Haviland Gipsy Moth, which arrived a day or two ago. The new machine is of the latest type, having undergone official tests in England as recently as May 2. It is fitted with the de Havilland safetyslotted wings. The damaged plane will be repaired when the new parts arrive. Hamilton Airways, Ltd., has been operating for over three months, in which time over 1,300 passenger flights have been made without any mishaps and without any adjustments being necessary to the machine, apart from the wrecking done by the hurricane at Opunake.
