MOTOR-CYCLE AND LORRY

GREAT NORTH ROAD COLLISION As the result of a collision between a motor-cycle and a motor-lorry at the intersection of Great North Road and King Street, Grey Lynn, about 2.30 p.m. on Saturday, Mr. Alwin McGregor, a single man, aged 24, rider of the motor-cycle, received severe head injuries and was taken to hospital in a serious condition. The lorry, which was driven by Mr. E. Buddie, of IS Cookburn Road, Grey Lynn, was coming out of King Street and the cycle was going along Great North Road toward Grey Lynn. Mr. McGregor, who lives at 132 Western Springs Road, was thrown off his machine. Last evening his condition was reported to be serious, but this morning he was recovering satisfactorily.
