ST. JAMES
‘TRANK O’BRIAN’S REVELLERS’* Frank O’Brian’s company of comedians and popular revue players are now presenting at the St. James Theatre their fourth programme of songs, dances and sketches. The large audience on Saturday evening thoroughly enjoyed the show, and certainly it is well up to the level of the previous programmes. The Revellers Company, which is headed by Janice Hart and Frank O’Brian as chief fun providers, includes the particularly tine jazz band known as “Tiny Douglas’s Varsity Boys.” They draw widely on their apparently endless repertoire of novel items, and while they are on the stage they keep everyone’s feet tapping merrily. They know and play all the latest pieces. The remainder of the programme comprises Bert Lee, Mabelle Morgan, Joe Hudson, Marie Ward and Gordon Norville. The latter’s Russian dance is one of the features of this week’s show. All of th© principals have established themselves as bright and clever entertainers and, in addition, much good work is done by the beautifullyfrocked ballet. Janice Hart and Frank O’Brian introduce a number of new and delightfully amusing playlets and score outstanding successes with both “All at Sea” and “Married Man Blues.”
