OLD WALL COLLAPSES

ACCIDENT IN VULCAN LANE When part of a brick and concrete wall in the partially demolished building in Vulcan Lane collapsed suddenly yesterday afternoon, Mr. George Cooper received a compound fracture of his right leg. Mr. Cooper, who was employed by Grevatt and Sons, contractors, was working on the old building and the collapse occurred before he had time to get clear. He was taken to hospital by the St. John Ambulance, but his condition is not serious. Mr. Cooper is a single man, aged 51, and lives at 74 Norfolk Street, Ponsonby.
