Jolson’s Huge Fee for “Singing Fool”
his services in “The Singing Fool,” which was recently at the Plaza, Al Jolson received £45,000 in cash, and is also entitled to 10 pe*r cent, of the gross takings on the film after Warner Brothers receive £200,000. Judging by the success of “The Singing Fool,” Mr. Jolson should receive another fortune.
