WATER-FARMERS IN ASlA.—Great losses were suffered by farmers in Iraq through the flooding of the Tigris and the Euphrates, which spread to the extent of forming an inland sea. Thousands of acre's of winter crops, which were exceptionally plentiful and ripe for harvesting, were destroyed. Here we see Arab cultivators endeavouring to salve portions of their crops.
