EX-LAW CLERK’S AFFAIRS

ADJUDGED A BANKRUPT Creditors of Alexander Henry Alartin, formerly a law clerk, of Auckland, could not agree to accept an assignment of his estate, and consequently Alartin was adjudicated a bankrupt by Air. Justice Kennedy in the Supreme Court today. A week ago, when Jas. Henry Arnott moved for Alartin’s adjudication, the debtor was allowed seven days in which to call his creditors together, with a view to making an assignment of his estate. Air. Ennor, for the petitioning creditor, informed the court this morning that the meeting had been held, but they could not agree on the assignment. He accordingly applied for adjudication, which was granted.
