AUCKLAND SAILORS’ HOME

The acquiring of a waterfront sita for a home for retired naval and mercantile officers and engineers was discussed at the monthly meeting of th® council of the Auckland Sailors’ Home last evening. It was decided to take further steps in that direction. Mr. D. B. Patterson was elected to the council and members expressed appreciation of Dr. A. H. Kirker’s offer to act as the home’s medical attendant in the absence of Dr. D. N. Murray.
