Sir Georpe Klliot left far Wellington last evening the Limited. Mr. G. I’- Butler, secretary of the ■VV'hangarei A. and P. Association, is in Auckland attending conferences. Mr. D. rtodie. commercial manager for the N• w Zealand railways, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. li- A->. C. Adams, of Hamilton, has left to .settle in Wellington. He has been appointed a solicitor in the public Trust Office there. Mr. L. B. Campbell, inspecting engine', i’. Public Works Department, arrived from Wellington this morning hy the Limited. The Hon. J. Garland, M.L.C., and tho Hon. J- B. Gow, M.L.C., left the north -bound Limited at Frankton Junction this morning. The Hon. W. Stewart. M.L.C., and the Hon. It. Moore, M.L.C., reached Auckland this morning from Wellington by the Limited. General K. J. Higgins, head of the Salvation Army, will visit Australia in April, 1930. His itinerary will include nil the capital cities, including Canberra. Mr A. W. Andrews, of the Synchrotone Company of New Zealand, left by the Limited last evening to attend the annual conference of the New Zealand Motion Picture Exhibitors’ Association. Viscount Craigavon, Prime Minister of Northern Ireland, and Lady Craigavon will sail from England by the Otranto on September 14, and will remain in New Zealand for three months (Says an Australian f*nd New Zealand Press Association message).
