BALLARAT AT FREMANTLE—The P. and O. branch liner Ballarat arrived at Fremantle from London yesterday. She is scheduled to reach Sydney on July 22. OTOKIA LEAVES SAN LUIS OBISPO —Cabled news has been received by the Union Company that the tanker Otokia cleared San Luis Obispo at 9 a.m. on Monday for Wellington. She is due at Wellington on August 2. CITY OF SALISBURY SAILS—In continuation of her voyage from New York, the A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer City of Salisbury sailed for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin at 7.30 o'clock this morning. MATAKANA REPORTED—Reported to have cleared Montevideo last Monday, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana is en route from Wellington to London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. She was dispatched from Wellington on June 16. HERTFORD LEAVES CURACAO.— According to cabled advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Federal steamer Hertford left Curacao on Sunday for New Zealand ports, en route from Liverpool. She is due at Auckland on July 31. PIAKO CLEARS NEWPORT NEWS— The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Piako arrived at Newport News last Saturday and sailed the following day in continuation* of her voyage from New Zealand to England. She was dispatched from Gisborne on June 6. HUNTINGDON LEAVES CURACAO— The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cable that the Federal steamer Huntingdon left Curacao on Saturday morning for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain, en route from Auckland. She sailed from Auckland on June 10. PIPIRIKI AT COLON —The A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Pipiriki is reported to have reached Colon last Monday, en route from New Y'ork to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland early in August. The New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent. CAMBRIDGE AT NEW YORK— Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Federal steamer Cambridge arrived at New York last Friday from Auckland, en route to Boston, Halifax and West Coast ports of Great Britain. The vessel left Auckland on June 7. MAIMOA SAILS SUNDAY —The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Maimoa is delayed at Wellington awaiting bunker coal. She is now fixed to sail from Wellington at daybreak on Sunday for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. PORT GISBORNE DUE TOMORROW. —Due at Auckland tomorrow evening from New York, the C. and D. Line’s motor-ship Port Gisborne berths on Saturday to land the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company will act as the local agent. RARANGA’S AGENTS—Confirmation has been received by A. S. Paterson and Company, Limited, that the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Raranga was dispatched from Liverpool on July 6 with cargo from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is scheduled to reach Auckland on August 12. SULPHUR FROM TEXAS—With a full cargo of sulphur from Galveston, Texas, the steamer Anglo Indian is now due at Auckland. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland, Newcastle, Sydney, Port Kembla, Geelong and Port Pirie. She is reported to have sailed from Galveston on June 9 and cleared Panama on June 16. Messrs. R. Millar and Company are the local agents. CARGO FROM NEW YORK—The A. and A. Line’s chartered steamer Pakipaki is scheduled to leave New York next Monday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about August 20. The vessel was formerly the Hain Line steamer Trewinnard. She is under charter to the A. and A. Line and the New Zealand Shipping Company is the local agent. KAHURANGI LIGHT—The Government steamer Tutanekai left Bluff on Tuesday morning for Milford Sound. Jackson’s Bay and Westport, where she is due about Saturday. The vessel will call at Kahurangi Point to make arrangements for putting in a temporary light until p<-nmanent repairs can be effected to the damaged light. The tower is practically undamaged and it is thought that little difficulty will be found in fixing up a light with a radius of about eight miles.

CANOPUS ARRIVES.—With a cargo of coal from the company’s mines at i Westport, the Westport Coal Company's collier Canopus arrived in the stream at J Auckland early this afternoon, and berthed at Central Wharf. NUCULA IN PORT.—From San Pedro, via the Islands and Sydney, the Admiralty Royal Auxiliary tanker Nucula anchored in the stream at Auckland early this afternoon. She berthed later at Sheerlegs Wharf to discharge the remainder of her cargo into the naval tanks at the base. RANGITOTO'S TIME-TABLE. The Northern Company advises that the Ran- ■ toto will leave at 9 a.m. on Monday ii.stead of 5 p.m. for Coromandel. She will leave that port at 2 p.m. the same day for Auckland, and at 9 a.m. on Tuesday leaves again for Thames. She clears Thames again at 2.30 p.m. the same day on her return trip. HERON DUE TONIGHT. —At seven o’clock this evening, according to her wireless report, the Norwegian tanker Heron will arrive in the stream at Auckland with a cargo of bulk oil from Balik* papan, Borneo. Tomorrow morning the tanker will berth at Western Wharf to put out the local portion of her bulk oil cargo, into the Shell Company of New Zealand’s tanks. will later sail for Wellington to com-itlete discharge. CANADIAN CARGOES.—Two Canadian Steamships Company’s steamers aredue to arrive at Auckland early next week with cargoes of general merchandise from Eastern Canadian ports. The first to arrive will be the Canadian Scottish, which is due in the stream at noon on Sunday. The vessel will berth at Prince’s Wharf to put out the New Zealand portion of her Montreal cargo, and will afterwards sail for Australia to complete discharge. The Canadian Scottish will be followed by the Canadian Conqueror, which has reported by -wireless to the company’s local office that she expects to make port on Monday. She will later take the Canadian Scottish’s berth at Prince’s Wharf, after which she will proceed to Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE— The Waitemata from Pacific Coast ports, via Auckland, which arrived at Wellington at 7 a.m. on Sunday, will sail today for Melbourne and Sydney. The Waihemo, from Pacific Coast ports, arrived at Napier at 5 p.m. on July G, and will leave again on July 13 for Lvttelton, and will go thence to Dunedin, Bluff and New Plymouth. The Hauraki. from British Columbia ports and San Francisco, is due at Los Angeles tomorrow. She will clear Los Angeles on July 13 and is due at Auckland on August 5, and will go thence to Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The Waiotapu, from Vancouver, New Westminster and Ocean Falls, is due at San Francisco tomorrow, and will go thence to Los Angeles to complete loading for Papefete, Auckland. Melbourne and Sydney. She will clear Los Angeles on July 17.

The Wairuna left Auckland on June 26 for Vancouver direct, where she is due on July 22, and will proceed thence to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Papeete, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Waikawa, from Port Kembla, arrived at Suva at 10 a.m. on July 7 and will proceed thence on July 20 to Vancouver, where she is due on August 10.
