RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM

“THOROUGHBREDS” Marian Nixon, Richard Walling and Mary Molan play the leading roles in “Thoroughbreds,” now at the Rialto and Regent, Epsom. Theatres. The story, which abounds in exciting scene’s, concerns the career of a young jockey* who is persuaded to abandon a steady position as trainer to a wealthy owner to ride for a band of dishonest race promoters. Realising that his employers are rogues, he refuses to complete his contract, but the wiles of a pretty blonde persuade him to ■sell'’ an important event. The authorities notice the very apparent manner in which he holds his horse back and cancel his licence, but salvation comes from an unexpected Quarter. The second attraction is an interesting Continental production, “A Knight of Mights,” featuring La Jana ] and Max Schrec-k. j
